Points worth Pondering

My motto to all music students:

The more you practises, the better you are and the more you like it provided you practise correctly and the vice versa will make you give up eventually.

  • Genius is not borned but is the result of hard work and proper nurturing. ~Anon
  • Good musicians execute their music but bad ones murder it. ~Anon
  • Music is what feelings sound like. ~Anon
  • Music is the poetry of the air. ~Richter
  • Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence. ~Robert Fripp
  • Music's the medicine of the mind. ~John A. Logan
  • Music produces a kind of pleasure which human nature cannot do without. ~Confucius
  • It's easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself. ~J.S. Bach
  • Music is moral law. It gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness and a gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order and leads to all that is good, true and beautiful. ~Plato 427-347 B.C
  • Music is the art of the prophets, the only art that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificant and delightful presents god has given us. ~Martin Luther
  • Where words fail, music speaks. ~Plato
  • If I don't practice one day, I know it; two days, the critics know it; three days, the public knows it. ~Jascha Heifetz
  • There is no top in muisc. There are always further heights to reach. ~Jascha Heifetz
An afterthought:
Anything which is worth doing is worth doing well - SO do your best and arrange time for it. Never say you don't have time - you "make" time. "Busy" is just an excuse for not doing your homework.

Plan, Do, Practice, Focus, Concentrate, Be Creative & Enjoy whatever comes - that is the way to succeed as a true musician. Learning is an infinity process.

Do the thing you like and you will never need to complain. One will never complain about how plentiful the food they like but a pinch of what they don't like will be too much. Dealing with obstacles, failure and problems in life will make one stronger, more experienced, wiser, more knowledgeable and more careful in the future AND be thankful for all that. Don't do or live a life of what others want you to live. You make your own decision, make your own choice, have your own opinion and most important of all - Live Your Own Life.

I strongly believe that everyone has a God-Given-Talent to excel in at least one thing in their life. So find it and make use of it. Everything is possible if you have the mind and heart for it. Remember "Man can go to the moon".
